About the Book

Tech DIY is an accessible introduction to electronics for children and their parents. The book focuses on soft circuits—electronics projects that use conductive thread, LEDs, and other components sewn into fabric and other materials.

Why Soft Circuits?

This approach was intentionally chosen to bridge traditional crafts with high-tech engineering, making electronics more accessible and appealing to a broader demographic, particularly young girls.

Soft circuits provide a friendly, non-intimidating entry point to electronics. By combining crafting with technology, these projects appeal to a wide range of learners and help demystify electronics for those who might be hesitant about traditional circuitry.

What's Inside

The book includes step-by-step projects that teach fundamental electronics concepts through creative, hands-on activities. Projects are designed to be completed together by parents and children, fostering collaborative learning and quality time.

Learning Together

At its core, Tech DIY is about parents and children discovering electronics together—building confidence, sparking curiosity, and creating meaningful objects that light up, respond, and delight.
